Another failed attempt!!

Yeap..so i've said many times in a few blog post that i attempt to update every 2 days or so...however, i have successfully failed.
But this time around, i have a valid reason and i it's because i did not have a laptop for some time. So now that i do, i should have no further excuse...I wonder if people really read my blog...If u do, please let me know...hahahaha..cause i have no clue.
Well, since i've started working in Putra Heights, i'm learning loads of things, experiencing different changes and thats for work stuff. Personally, i'm facing quite alot of challenges and trying to take it one step at a time.
Had loads of fun activities as wel...will share more with pics when i have time.
I'm praying really hard that my company will decide to give saturday off. I've been literally dragging myself out of bed looking all zombie-fied. Hehehehe...wishing i could plan some outing on the weekends...but restricted to enjoy only one saturday off per month.
Last month, i went for Camporama, the camp i waited for 5 years to go and i have nothing but absolute good news about the camp. It was the bomb...i enjoyed myself and got burnt to crisp...ehehehehe...

HR! Me? Hmmm!!!

Hello, yet another long break since the last post. That's because i don't have a laptop at home right now, because my sis took her;s to Penang where she's working now!!
So, i'm currently at work. I'm in a new job. No more Lego playing for me. It's serious stuff, and i'm in the HR department. Yup! Human Resource. There's a story to how i ended up here but i preferred not to share it here.
It's been ok so far. I'm currently doing thing's i've never done before. i'm even learning about insurance as well. Before taking this position, i've always had sort of a bad impression of HR people. Not particularly based on experience, but by what people always complain about their own HR people. And now i'm IT!!
Hehehehe..I'm trying to counter all the negative things people say about HR personals and prove them wrong.
we plan to get a laptop soon, but not yet. I'll definitely will be blogging more often then...

Sailing in the Sun!!

On the 25th of April, 8 of us went for a sailing trip. My friend Barney had a friend who represents Malaysia in Sailing. Her name is Ai li. So she took us out in her friend's boat. His name is Malcolm and i think his British. The boat fits about 12 people. Praise god for good breeze but the heat was definitely there. In all thing's, Praise the Lord.
So, the 8 of us was me, melissa, rachel chan, rachel punitha, sharmini, mini, barney, and vinod. We were really thrilled. We got the chance to do tacking(hope i spelled that right). It's when you have to pull the rope to switch the side of the sail according to the wind and direction. I had the opportunity to pull the rope and you really need the strength. I even got to steer the boat..that was fascinating as well..
We also over prepared the food. We had loads of food. Rae brought cheese cake and she even had caramel sauce to go with the cake. SINFUL but hey, once in awhile is fine i guess...I love chocolate but it was really rich for me as well.
Well, overall the wind was fantastic, the heat was bearable but still hot, the company was fantastic, couldn't ask for a better group and the whole experience was truly a memorable one. Hopefully there will be an opportunity to go sailing overnight..wooooooopie!!!

BerLabor and Slumber Day!!

Today is Labor day, funny how my last day at work ends a day before Labor day. hehehe!!
Well, today was pretty hectic day. Yes, suppose to be abit relaxed today, but some things had to be done. So, the started at 10am when i woke up. Hehehehe...i woke up late as i had a crazy day yesterday. So i didn't get much sleep then, so it was payback time. And Oh! My sister is back and we had to go to the airport to fetch her, and she arrived at 12.30am because her flight was delayed.
So back to the 10am rise and shine, but i didn't wake up myself, i woke up hearing loud laughing and door shutting sounds. Then i remembered, my sis friend's from Klang are coming over, because their heading out for breakfast. They came upstairs to have a look and i saw baby Nigel Lim. He sooooooooo Adorable. Well, they close the door and left soon after.
Then i drag myself out of bed with my hair looking like i just got a wild perm done. I did the usual nature calls and brushing teeth and headed downstairs from some breakfast. Then, i started my chores by lining the kitchen cabinets with a special scratch proof sheet we got from IKEA.I've used 6 1/2 rolls and it's still not enough.
So, once that was done, mom was also done making lunch. Since everyone was home, mom made yummy prawn paratel, Sodhi(indian yellow soup)and some mixed vegetable(Chinese style). It was so yummy. Dad bought 2 kilos of prawns and the whole family finished it. It's our first family meal in the new kitchen.
After lunch, me and sissy were suppose to start cleaning the stuff in the room downstairs but we took a little break and sat on the sofa. After 10 minutes,the whole family was sitting on the sofa (including amigo) and everyone is fast asleep. Hahahahaha!!! I got up, saw the whole family flat out snoring, and i went back to sleep too! So, we woke up at 4pm, had some tea and ginger biscuits and started work in the room. I had to wash glass bowls and glasses and i was nervous when i had to arrange them in the cabinets because their so fragile. But i manage to put them all safely in.
It was 6pm and all chores have ended for the day, my cousin Mervin came over to upgrade and clean up my sister's laptop. Then, me and Mervin went to Mydin to do some grocery shopping. He later sent me to my aunty's house in USJ11 for a Labor Day Makan. Well, dinner was good and we had some chat sessions, laughing sessions, looking at photo sessions and we ended the night by watching The Nanny. Hehehehehehe...
So that was my Labor. it ends here at 1.35am.

Sadness, Pain & Happiness...All in One!

I've always wondered if it was possible to have multiple feelings all at the same time. It's so true. You can really feel it.
Today, 30th April 2009: It's my last day at Ct Workshop and i feel really sad that i have to leave this cool job. I mean i know I've said this many times, but who would leave a Lego playing job for the corporate world? Yes, that would be me. I just needed to move on but i wish i could take all my colleagues with me because it's been a great joy working with them and I'm really going to miss them.
Speaking about having multiple feelings all at the same time? This morning around 5am, i had this sudden pain in my back, and i started to burp alot and i just felt all woozy (is that even a word?), had headache and it was soooo uncomfortable. Mom asked if i wanted to go to the hospital and i said NO...I'm fine. But the discomfort continue and i felt really cold and started to bite my teeth. Mom said, we're going to the hospital. So, we quickly got into the car and we headed of to SJMC (i didn't drive of course)
I went to the emergency ward, waited for the doctor and after he checked my stomach, he diagnose that i had mild gastric. I was like...uhmmmm. Never experienced that before, and my stomach didn't hurt at all. Well, now it does feel like there's air in there. So, i had to endure the pain on my back and stomach the whole day today, with lots of prayers, and giving all my worries to Jesus, I'm sure everything will be fine.
Here comes the Happiness part: I've got 2 weeks break and i will definitely be spending it wisely before my new job starts which will be on May 18.

So, here comes the end of a chapter in my life and beginning of a new one. Whatever experiences come my way, i'll have to face it no matter what.
Glory to Jesus for giving me his strength!

Ancaman Antarabangsa!!

Can you believe it that the direct translation for the movie "International" in BM was Ancaman Antarabangsa! I mean where did the word "Ancaman" come from? I had a good laugh when i saw that in the cinema last thursday. All the staff at CTworkshop, full timers, part timers and ex-staff, reunited for dinner and a movie date at MIdvalley.

I don't think i've ever had to book 12 tickets at one time. Hehehehe...yup, that was quite a number to coordinate for a movie. But it was all fine, but i really wished we watched a movie less stressful and boring.
Well, the important thing is that we got to mingle....

Time of Change!!!

While the rest of the world voted for Barrack to make some changes, i'm going through some changes myself.

Job Transition
Yes....I got a job offer at a company called MPL (Metal Pipeline). I'll be handling Corporate Communications and i've always wanted to get into a more corporate line of work and here comes the Window of Opportunity!
So, i;ve accepted the offer and here's the best part of this new job:
1) The office is based in Putra heights, behind USJ which is only a 10 minute drive from my house.
2) NO JAMS!!
3) NO TOLLS!!
4) and i get to TRAVEL...not so soon but later in the job.

Well, even though i've got a new job, it's really hard to leave the greatest bunch of people i've worked with. I officially send in my resignation on the 23 March 2009.
And for that i got a punch from Hazel, and Nadia wanted to electrocute me with 3 point plug. Besides missing the colleagues, i'm definitely going to miss all the kids i teach and the LEGO..I mean, who leaves their Lego playing job for the corporate world? Ssssshhh!!! That would be ME!

Well, everyone has to move on although it is not the easiest thing to do!!!

i had a headache after reading this one!!

4-1......

It's really rare that i get to watch any football match. So yesterday, i finally got to watch the Man United and Liverpool game and i was depressed at the end of the match...I mean, Man u lost 4-1 in their home ground...Sigh!!!i was screaming and shouting almost GOALS out loud!!!Oh Well, it's over...but their still up there...

And still i sing Glory, Glory Man United!!!

Glory

I was flipping through channels on astro looking for something to watch that will be worth my time, and i chanced upon this movie called Glory. The movie is based on the first black fighting unit during the American civil war. it's a really interesting plot as a white american colonel actually treats his black soldiers as just as anyother human being. And then there are some major's who ill treat the black people and really look at them as dirt if i may say and that is just plain horrid.
There's a scene in this movie where the soldiers shoes are in really bad condition, leaving their feet in a horrible condition with scars, bleeds and etc. The Colonel goes to the main war majors to seek shoes for his 600 men and they tell him their out of stuck themselves. The Colonel very well knows that these majors are just being mean and not providing the shoes just because their black.

Looking at this movie just reminds me that i have to be grateful for being born in my family and having so many privileges that others had to fight their whole lives just to get simple comforts in life.
Thank you Lord Jesus for all the blessings in my life...

i recommend you to watch this movie...it's really good
